Xerox Litigation Services Enhances E-Discovery Platform with Analytical and Administrative Tools; Receives Industry Recognition

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Sept. 14, 2010 – Corporations and law firms facing larger amounts of data with stricter production deadlines can streamline the e-discovery process with key analytical and administrative features and tools released by Xerox Litigation Services, a division of Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX).

The features and tools, created by Xerox Litigation Services’ team of more than 40 in-house software developers located in research and development facilities around the world, include:

  • CategoriX, a patented automated document classification technology that leverages human-assisted computerized review to reduce time and costs associated with document review.
  • Clustering, automatically finds relationships between documents based on text or concepts and groups them together – helping companies understand the scope of litigation matters and prioritize documents for review.
  • Search Analytics, takes a user’s search terms and provides variants of root words, synonyms and related words and concepts that can be incorporated into the search – creating more targeted and intelligent searches.
  • E-mail Analytics, identifies key individuals and visually assesses their relationships and communication patterns within specified timeframes. The data can be displayed in three views – calendar, timeline or star – enabling different formats to analyze the findings.
  • Review Statistics, helps managers to determine productivity levels and make individual or team comparisons to better structure an efficient review.
